The second
issue of Deviant Slice (the authors removed the ironic "Funnies" from the title) is not quite as remarkable as the first, but it is no slacker. Greg Irons and Tom Veitch give us three gruesome tales, each
unique from the other. "Gettin' Back From Nam" exposes us to the inner
demons of a drug-crazed war veteran and the callous stupidity of his
worthless, jingoist father. "Jumpin' Jack Flesh" is a relatively lighthearted
story about two men competing to be the heaviest human on Earth. Just
when they bring a smile to your face, GI/TV unleash "You Got a Point
There, Pop!" which is a wickedly sharp anecdote from the war of the sexes guaranteed
to make all men wince.
